  • Wes Hataway, Director, Office of Workers’ Compensation for the Louisiana Workforce Commision: Mr. Hataway will speak of new Worker's Compensation Guidelines and Regulations affecting all providers in our practices and in our businesses
  • Jennifer Davis, LOTR, our AOTA Representative, will present changes being made at the upcoming AOTA Convention, and solicit input from LOTA members.
  • Danisha Deal, LOTR: Ms. Deal is a burn specialist that will be presenting Burn OT: Rehab Throughout the Healing Process. She will provide a background on the depths of burns, and treatment techniques including proper positioning, ROM, splinting, and pressure garments to promote recovery.
  • Chris Perkins, LOTR, Lymphedema Specialist: Ms. Perkins will provide us with a review of the lymphatic system,  and she will instruct us in identification of signs/symptoms of edema/lymphedema, and treatment techniques.
  • Lillian O’Cain, LOTR, CAPS: Ms. O’Cain, along with assistant presenters, Brad Greco, LOTR and Tiffany Stafford, LOTR, will present One Fall, That’s All.  They will cover the cost of falls, facts about falls, and how falls impact the older adult as well as their family. They will also discuss development of the Stepping On program, which they have implemented into their practice, along with program outcomes.
  • Judith K. Otto, LOTR, CDRS: Ms. Otto is a Certified Driving Rehab Specialist. She will present Community Mobility and Pedestrian Safety. This course will address the importance of pedestrian safety, factors  to consider in determining safety of pedestrian areas, risk factors for pedestrians and strategies to improve pedestrian safety.
  • Gary Johnson, PT, CAPS: Mr. Johnson  will present Home Assessment and Modifications, which will address home evaluation and considerations to maximize safety and function in the home environment.
